The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.
The quick and agile chipmunk is a small, brownish, ground-dwelling squirrel typically 5 to 6 inches long. According to Native American folklore, it got its stripes when escaping from a bear whose long sharp claws left long pale scars on the little chipmunk's back.
